Since being involved with a community science project 'Project Reef South Taranaki' , I began to use for the first time I-naturalist. We document species found on the sub-tidal reefs offshore of South Taranaki, New Zealand, within the project Coastblitz Patea.
Not surprisingly I then became super excited to discover my natural world and learn more through the kindness of experts within I-naturalist giving ID and feedback.
This collaborative approach, adding to public databases - which in turn add to other important biodiversity databases, is the most special initiative to be involved with.
