I could best be described as a reluctant naturalist :-) A good friend has begun to interest me in the world of nature. My interest at this point is primarily in the photography, as I have been a photographer most of my life. I shoot primarily on film but recently dipped a toe into the digital world, which is proving useful for this. My friend's interests lie particularly around dragonflies, so this is where we are focusing our initial efforts. Our first forays have been short, easy little trips to ease me into it. Once you really begin looking, and know where to look, the variety of life out there is amazing. I've always been a learner and this looks like one more thing I can put my mind to. I like that.
