Ash-throated flycatchers settled in for summer.

From a distance, this is not bird that you can easily identify. The first clue to what type of bird it is will be the feeding behavior. When you get close enough, you will find a slender bird about 8 inches in length, a little larger than a western bluebird, but not quite as large as an American robin. They have a wingspan of about 12 inches.

This is a grayish brown bird overall, with a pale-yellow belly and cinnamon edges on the primary wing feathers. There are also two white wing bars on each wing and a long tail.
