"That's the one"

The last two days of our trip were spent in Arizona at the Organ pipe national monument. It was the group's first sitings of Saguaro cacti a sight for sore eyes I'd like to say. As we were driving through the park to our first hike of the day I announced to La lata gris group that the Saguaro cacti were working up a tattoo idea. Not knowing how pumped Norm would be to aid in finding the perfect Saguaro for my tattoo I couldn't help but feel sentimental. As the day went on and we hiked along beautiful Organ pipe and Saguaro cacti I just couldn't find the right one. The sun was setting and we were packing up to go back to our lavish motel (haha). When we got in the car I told Norm that I was unable to find the right one, Norm was shocked considering we had been surrounded by them the whole entire day. But all hope was not lost we still had the twenty-minute drive out of the park to spot a good one. About ten minutes into our drive I shouted "that's a good one", the whole car's heads jerked forward as Norm made an immediate halt. Kayla, Cory, Norm, Annika, and I jumped out of the car and ran to the towering Saguaro cacti with three perfectly placed arms. As we finally approached the perfect tattoo specimen the golden rays of the setting sun lit it up for some beautiful pictures. "That's the one" Kayla, Cory and I said as we took a big group hug. High off the excitement from all of us we got back into the car feeling accomplished and happy. The rest of the drive out of the park was filled with cotton candy-colored skies and cacti silhouettes, I will never forget this day and all the people who made it special.
