Can you point to the reference in Chinese? I sourced this only from our vascular plants taxonomic authority, Plants of the World Online. If you are asking for a deviation (an exception) from our standard taxonomy, I suggest that you flag the species or genus.

Unfortunately I don't read Chinese, so I can't really comment on the source of this name, but there is not a high level of detail provided for their lumping of it. A short paragraph. This taxon seems abundantly distinct to me, but I only come across it as an introduced species in a tiny portion of one state well outside of its native range.
