On ground in swamp with northern white cedar. 24-102. Patch of yellowish green prostrate plants. Branching 2-3 pinnate. Leaves with 4-5 very narrow lobes nearly to base, secondarily lobed and abundantly fringed with cilia.
On lower part of rock wall. 24-119. Simple thalloid liverwort, 1 mm wide, conspicuous mid-rib, branches fork at ends (4-6). Marginal hairs in pairs (7). Scattered hairs on undersurface, not on top. Male branches and female branches with calyptra on undersurface (8-13). No gemmae.
perhaps var. lanceolata (ovate leaves) but subspecies of this widespread species need work! Varieties likely exist for C. lanceolata based on the genetic data but the boundaries between these subspecies (geographically) is unclear at this time.
