Documenting fungi and other things of interest, found on property in Huon Valley, Tasmania from 2010 onwards.
Property: was logged some years ago but (perhaps 40yrs ago I've been told by neighbour) and has some huge old felled trees remaining on property. A mix of vegetation occuring with Nothofagus cunninghamii, Pomaderris sp., Atherosperma moschatum, Acacia dealbata, Acacia melanoxylon, Eucalyptus regnans, Eucalyptus obliqua, Eucryphia lucida, Dicksonia antarctica and other species.
Property has a rivulet running through it which runs year round partly underground spring.
400-450 metres above sea level experiencing snow in the colder months.
I enjoy promoting and participating in science education in local area.
