I am a biologist, diver and photographer currently based in Nova Scotia. I teach Invertebrate Biology as an Instructor at Dalhousie University, but my formal scientific background is in the realm of fish ecology; specifically, I wrote my MSc. thesis on the migration of Canadian Atlantic salmon smolts in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. My other related experience comes from days at the University of Saskatchewan and includes aquatic insect taxonomy, amphibian husbandry, and small mammal trapping.

I have a heavy interest in Cnidarians, specifically the Siphonophores, and broadly arthropods, but Diplopoda, Ephemeroptera, and Crustaceans are all close to the heart.
