I'm Louis Aureglia, a 24-year-old naturalist passionate about biodiversity. I often photograph the plants and arthropods I encounter in nature, focusing on true bugs.
Right now, I'm a PhD student, and I'm spending time between Marseille (LPED) and Strasbourg (LIVE), which is pretty cool. My research focuses on taxonomy, with a special mission in mind – comprehensively reevaluating the genus Ravenea. This unique palm genus is native to Madagascar and shrouded in mystery for some of its species.
Here are the specimens I am currently collecting as part of my effort to create a reference collection for Aix-Marseille University :

All specimens are in the Marseille (Aix-Marseille University) university collection in Saint-Charles. I also have other specimens I’ve collected for research projects or to share with others interested in different taxa. These include specimens of terrestrial gastropods and woodlices. If you need any samples, please feel free to inquire. I would happily loan you some specimens temporarily, but I cannot give them away.
