I love anything that has to do with nature. I have a bachelor's degree in biology, but until retirement I worked as a land surveyor. The great part about the surveying profession is that one works in the outdoors most of the time. My hobbies are hiking, scuba diving, and raising insects, particularly moths because they are easier to acquire and raise than other insects. I am a docent at the "Bouverie Preserve" in Glen Ellen, California, which gives me the ongoing opportunity to share my passion for and knowledge of nature with 3rd and 4th graders. I enjoy inspiring them about all things living and growing in the natural environment.
