Journal Post #2 -Rebeca

This Friday we went to Anza Borrego National Park. This was an amazing experience. The rock formations with their beautiful striations took my breath away. While we were walking through the trail we passed by many ocotillos which made it possible for me to see my favorite hummingbird ever, the Costa's hummingbird! That was incredibly exciting for me, I have always wanted to see one in person. About five minutes later walking on the trail we looked up to the mountainside and Norm spotted a Bighorn Sheep male and a lamb. It was amazing to watch them traverse the mountainside so easily. Friday was definitely one of the top three days of this trip. It was incredible to see so much amazing diversity in what I had always been taught was a barren wasteland. I will never be able to forget that day. It was filled with once in a lifetime experiences.
