Hiking among wildflowers
in the mountains
around Cape Town

always stop to check on this plant. Dangly bits are shrizzled, but there are fresh leaves climbing up in the shelter of the rock cleft
Battled to find plants. 2 or 3 blooming, then we found more with buds.
very weird leaves = imbricata (like tiles) First flower emerging and another bud lurking
Running fast on the path. Beetle with an earwig tail ?
long narrow body, tangle of spider legs. Also a hump, and a crayfish tail. On Hermas villosa flowers
was strimmed along the path, so the flowers were hanging down to show the bracts below the flower
Fully open it has bright yellow stamens, and a dark lip
