Apparently the change was made based on "Catalogue of plants of Costa Rica," according to Iain.
The taxon swap was made in accordance with POWO, but not committed since it seemed dubious. Another curator stepped in out of the blue and committed it without warning.
Is it possible to please change all African instances of
Asystasia gangetica
to
Asystasia intrusa
That is what the taxonomic change is actually saying.
Curretnly any ID of Asystasia intrusa is showing up as a disagreement, when in fact it is an agreement at the subspecies level. It would be better if the exisitng names where changed to Asystasia intrusa - or if this is not accepatable then at least to Asystasia (genus).
