We had a total of 2 species of amphibians: Rio Grande Leopard Frog (seen only) and Blanchard's Cricket Frog.
At 8:01 p.m. we heard the first chorus of Blanchard's Cricket Frogs at CI=2. There were many hopping around and we counted about 30 along the shore of the lake as we walked along the bank. Recording of Cricket Frogs did not work.
At 8:12 p.m. we saw the first of 3 Rio Grande Leopard frogs but never heard them calling.

We had a small crowd but a good night. Thanks Reggie L. and Kathy M. for coming out.
At 8:26 we started monitoring.
By the end of the night we heard Gulf Coast Toad at CI=1, Blanchard's Cricket Frogs at CI-2, Rio Grande Leopard Frog CI-1 , and Cope's Gray Tree Frog at CI =2. We only saw the Blanchard's Cricket Frogs and a Gulf Coast Toad.
We also saw a Redstripe Ribbon Snake

At 7:39 we heard one male Bullfrog calling. None seen. No recording.
Blanchard Cricket Frog's were first heard at 7:41 p.m. and I got a recording of them calling at CI=2 for the night. None were seen.
We saw 2 Gulf Coast Toads, one at 8:49 along the trail and the other at 8:54 near the restrooms (which was huge!) I got pictures of both. None calling.

Seen only: At 8:43 p.,m. a Gulf Coast Toad under the live oaks. At 7:45 p.m. 3 young Bullfrogs floating with heads above water right at edge of lake in area that had lots of grassy cover in the water.
No amphibians calling.
Also saw a Diamondback Water Snake eating a discarded fish head. it seemed to be having some problems, but managed to get it down after a few mintues. A smaller DB Water snake was seen earlier, but no photos taken.

Only myself and Kathy M. were in attendance. On Thursday the 3rd there was 3/4 inches of rain locally.
At 6:34 p.m. a Blanchard Cricket Frog was seen, photo taken.
At 7:10 p.m. a Rio Grande Leopard Frog was seen but got away before photo taken.
At 7:35 p.m. a Bull Frog was seen, young juvenile.

There were no amphibians calling and we saw 3 Blanchard's Cricket Frogs - photographed one.
It was cold and raining and as the night wore on, it got windy.
